Cars are undoubtedly among the main causes of air pollution.

Car users and passengers are the first to suffer from the consequences of the pollution while they are on the road. Studies have shown that the level of air pollution inside the passenger compartment is 2 to 5 times higher than that measured on the road.

Pollutants with size smaller than 2.5 micron (PM2.5) enter the car via a few channels:

1) Whenever windows are wind down
2) Whenever doors are opened
3) When driving with open vent
4) Infiltration.

The average concentration of pollution is 0.6 mg per cubic metre, which corresponds to the inhalation of 12 mg over an exposure time of 24 hours. This falls short of the acceptable standards set by the US EPA, making passengers and drivers susceptible to respiratory problems such as asthma and bronchitis.

In view of this, GAF Technologies has successfully developed the world's first car cabin filter using HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filtration technology, similar to the type used in laboratory cleanrooms and hospital surgical rooms.

Using this patented technology, CaireFresh™ Car Cabin HEPA filters are designed to capture airborne allergens such as dust, mold, pollen, viruses and bacteria while neutralising odors and gases. Installed at the return air of vehicle air-conditioning system (located behind the glove compartment), the filters provide both passengers and driver with a cleaner and healthier environment while on the road.

CaireFresh™ Car Cabin HEPA filters are able to capture particulates as small as 0.3 to 0.5 microns effectively within minutes while maintaining the flow of cooled air in the car cabin. Comparative laboratory analyses indicate that the CaireFresh filters are at least 3 times more effective than original car cabin air-conditioner filters. Another feature of the CaireFresh filters not found in original car cabin filters is the anti-bacterial property which inhibits the growth of bacteria and mold on the filter media.

Car Cabin HEPA filters are designed and engineered to fit most car models, such as those by: Toyota , Lexus , Honda , Nissan , Daihatsu, Hyundai, Mazda , Chevrolet, Kia, Proton, Isuzu , Perodua, Mitsubishi, Subaru and Suzuki .

Product Features:
1) Patented technology - HEPA filter media that contains electrostatic charged Polypropylene (PP) fibers.

6) Easy to install and replace.
   
7) Filter to be inspected every 6 months or 10,000 km (whichever comes first).



Pollutants with size smaller than 1 micron enter

Pollutants are then trapped and re-circulated in the car cabin. The pollutant concentration tends to build up over time to a level which can be 2 to 5 times higher than that of outside air.

With CaireFresh Cabin HEPA Filter installed at the Return Air located behind the glove compartment, pollutants are effectively reduced each time the air is being re-circulated within the car cabin.
